We carried out a study to assess the feasibility of creating an open access facility at the Maritime Museum, Lancaster, to enable public access to the archaeology collections.

As part of the study we carried out extensive public consultation with staff, partners, academics, schools, the archaeology community and the public.

The feasibility study included a five and ten-year forward plan, a documentation plan and a partnership strategy.

The project was funded by Renaissance North West.
