We excavated a series of trenches in order to investigate potential archaeological sites beneath the footprint of a development on the shore of Lake Windermere.
We determined that archaeological sites in the vicinity were either non-authentic, or that they had been removed by subsequent activity.
This enabled the client to continue with the development with no further archaeological issues.
